RoamRoute is an independent publication about AI travel planning. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or paid by any tool we cover, and we never sell rankings.
Why we exist
AI trip planners draft beautiful itineraries — and happily invent a café that closed in 2019. Our job is to test the tools honestly and teach the 30-second verification habits that keep a generated plan from becoming a wasted vacation day.
One rule governs everything we publish: if a claim can't be traced to a named source — a vendor's pricing page, a regulator's guidance, or a reputable study — it doesn't get published.
How we review
- Hands-on testing. We plan the same trip — same dates, same city, same budget — through every tool we cover and compare the routes.
- Source hierarchy. Tier 1: official bodies (US DoT, FTC), airline and tourism-board pages. Tier 2: vendor pricing pages and app-store records, each with an "as of" date. Tier 3: travel press, for background only.
- Expert review. Itinerary claims are reviewed by a travel editor who has actually taken the routes we publish.
- Corrections. We fix errors, note them on the page, and you can report one any time.

A note on bookings
Our guides evaluate planning tools. We do not book anything for you, and AI drafts are not bookings — always confirm price, airline and cancellation terms yourself before paying.

We fix errors — and say so
✓ Every page shows a "last updated" date and a "fact-checked" date.
✓ Material corrections are listed at the bottom of the affected page.
✓ Report an error via the contact address below; we acknowledge it within five business days.
Privacy note
What we collect
This prototype site does not collect personal data and does not set tracking cookies. If analytics or a contact form is added before launch, this note will be expanded into a full privacy policy describing what is collected, why, and how to request deletion.
